An Evening in BusTel Klebang Malacca

Salam...

Hi everyone.. BusTel restaurant ...

Here's the landmark for this restaurant..

Bustel Klebang Malacca is a combination of words Bus and Hotel. Bustel is made from used buses from all over Malacca and converted it into Hotel and Restaurant. This concept is unique as in Malaysia, there are none of other hotel and restaurant do the same. Most of them having typical common concept or theme for their restaurant and hotel.

The owner already modified the buses into hotel and restaurant. As for the hotel, there are 2 types of bedding. 1 type is a room with 2 single bed and another type is a room with 1 queen bed. In the modified hotel, all the facilities and amenities provided is similar with other normal hotels such as bathroom, air-condition, television, shower gel, shampoo etc.

The Bustel is located at Kampung Batang 3 Timur, Tanjong Kling, Malacca. The easiest way to get there is, look for the Dataran 1 Malaysia Klebang and the Bustel is located in this area. During public holiday, the number of visitors will double up and become crowded.

The menu provided quite similar as other stall. For example, they prepare hot foods, drinks, desserts, and snack with reasonable price. And one of their specialties is coconut ice-cream and coconut shake which is famous in this area and become trending all over Malaysia. But here, you can try the original coconut shake and it taste better with the beach view and sand.

The restaurant operation hours is from 12pm till 2am. They are open daily basis so that visitors may come at any day they are available to try the foods and drinks here. This restaurant serves 'a la carte' menu which means each food and drinks have separated price. However, they also serves set menu called "chup" which means 1 price comes with food and drink and it usually offer a better price and more valuable.

Dining Sequence

Their sequence of service also similar with other restaurants. Guest sit at their chosen sitting place, then the waiter will come over to take an order. The waiter then 'fire' the order to kitchen and the kitchen staff will prepare the food accordingly. Once the food done, the waiter will bring the food to their guest's table and serve. In the end, once the guest finishes with their food the waiter will come and present the bill. Guest left the table, waiter needs to clean up the table for next guest to dine in!

Strengths

1. An attractive concept, 1st in Malaysia.
2. Reasonable price.
3. Fast turnover, good business.

Weaknesses

1. Limited seating places.
2. Car parking constraints for visitors.
